There once was a wee little man named Zacheus. On top of being a short wee little pitiful man Zacheus was a tax collector the lowest of the low in the biblical times of Jesus's life. In this time of the world tax collectors were not even looked at, they had no friends, considered traitors to their country and no one came into their homes.
They were so bad that in hell there was hell for everybody else and then there was a level reserved for tax collectors. That's how bad it was to be a tax collector. So back to our wonderful story. One day Zacheus was doing his daily public robery when he heard a conversation about a magical miracle worker named Jesus. This cool dude was on the beach preeching to a very large group of people, and Zacheus decided to go see this guy to see if he had some knowlege for him (or to see if he could make him taller.) Because of the annoying height of the crowd Zacheus could not see this cool bearded character. It dawned on Zacheus to climb a nearby tree and with all the tiny fury in his body he heaved his wee body to the top of the tree. As he was watching the man he nearly fell asleep listening to the sweet calm voice of the man known as Jesus. All the sudden this man called out to little Zacheus. With utter suprise Zacheus just stared in silence amazed at the reason this man had payed attention to the tiny misfit tax collector. Even everyone in the large normal heighthed group of people was confused. So the man decided to break the long silence and told Zacheus to come down from the tree. Slowly but surely the tiny little man came out of the tree, somewhat hiding behind the tree from the man with the totally awesome beard. Jesus came over to him and asked to come to the little man's house and have lunch. Now in the little man's mind this was a true MYSTERY. Confused little Zacheus asks all you normal sized persons (Most of you.) why would an amazing man like the Son of God, pay any attention, to a horrible person, like a tiny tax collector? So in our wee little tale we learned the Bible tells us that we are to love all men, even tiny tax collectors. So the answer to this question is because God loved Zacheus just as he loves everyone else. So the next time you see a tiny person who looks like they could be a young tax collector just tell them. JESUS LOVES YOU!!
